Import and export

Transfers are on the Websites → Manage → Import/Export page (below Languages in the site menu).
Design and settings
Page layout, header and footer, theme color, logo, site icon, site name and description are exported to a single file. Import applies immediately and updates the design preview and the live site. Your custom domain isn’t included (it’s specific to the site).
Tip
This is the easiest way to copy a design you like from one site to another: Export on one, Import on the other.
Content
You can Export / Import these separately: Posts, Categories, Ads, Videos, Menu.
- Transfers run in the background, step by step. Even with millions of records they don’t slow your site down; you can close the tab and come back later.
- If you tick Include images (.zip) for posts, the file is prepared as a .zip, so imported posts come with their own images even if the originals are deleted.
- Completed or failed jobs stay in the list for 7 days; download your export file within that time.
Tip
Importing a menu replaces your site’s current custom menu. Export your current menu first as a backup.
Tip
Always export before cancelling your subscription. Deleted sites can’t be restored.
