Move your existing site to Ulakom

Updated Oct 14, 20263 min read

You can move a site that’s live on another platform (such as WordPress or a news script) to Ulakom with its full archive. Migration runs in the background while you keep publishing on your old site.

What gets moved?

  • All stories with their publish dates, titles and content
  • Category structure and tags
  • Photos and videos (imported into your library and optimised)
  • Author accounts and profile pages

Migration steps

  1. Share your current site’s address and platform on the migration page, or write to us in the dashboard via profile menu → Help & Support → New ticket.
  2. Our team plans the migration with you.
  3. Content is imported into your new site; we check it together before going live.
  4. Connect your domain to Ulakom; the switch happens in a single step.

Google rankings

Your old URLs are redirected to the new ones with a 301, so your search rankings and backlinks are preserved.

Tip

After migrating, connect Google Search Console under Manage → SEO; your sitemap is submitted automatically and Google learns your new URL structure faster.
