Web push runs on Ulakom’s own infrastructure; you don’t need to sign up for an external notification service or add code. Notifications are managed on Websites → Manage → Notifications and require the Pro plan on the site.

Summary cards

  • Active subscribers: Readers ready to receive instant notifications from your site.
  • Total permissions: Devices that have granted permission so far.
  • Invalid / revoked: Subscribers who turned permission off or cleared their browser data.

Sending a quick notification

  1. Choose the Audience: Send to all active subscribers or Smart targeting (category interest).
  2. Write the Notification title (e.g. “BREAKING: Major development!”) and Notification message.
  3. Enter the Target page URL (the page that opens when a reader clicks the notification).
  4. Click Send notification.

You can also send a notification when publishing: in the post editor, turn on Web Push Notification under Sites to share.

Smart audience interests

As readers read stories on your site, their interests are tagged automatically and profiles form around their reading habits. Smart targeting sends the notification only to readers interested in that category.

Send history

The Notification send history table shows each notification’s title, audience, how many people it targeted and reached, status and date.

Tip

Too many notifications a day increases unsubscribes. We recommend keeping them to breaking news and the day’s top stories. We compare web push and newsletters on our comparison page.
