Ads are managed on Websites → Manage → Ads. Your ads are listed as cards, with All, Active, Paused, Draft tabs and an All ad slots filter at the top.
Adding a new ad
- Click + New Ad at the top right.
- Enter an Ad Title (e.g. Main Sponsor Banner).
- Choose the Ad Slot (e.g. “Sidebar — 300×250 / 300×600”: a square or vertical ad in the side column). Ad slots from your site’s design appear in the list too.
- Choose the Ad Type and fill in its fields (below).
- Set the Status (Active or Inactive) and optionally Show an “Advertisement” label above it.
- Check how it looks in the Preview on the right (On page / Ad) and click Add Ad.
Ad types
| Type | What you enter |
|---|---|
| Image Banner | Ad Image (address or Upload), Click-through URL, Alt Text (SEO and accessibility) and Open in new tab. The window shows the recommended size for the slot. |
| HTML / Script | Third-party ad code or custom HTML. For security, scripts don’t run in the preview; the code runs as-is on the site. |
| Google AdSense | AdSense publisher ID and ad unit ID. See connecting AdSense. |
Only Active ads are shown on the site. To stop an ad temporarily, use Pause on its card.
Tip
New ad slots are added to pages from the design editor. Keep page speed and reading experience in mind before adding more slots.
