Publishing an E-Magazine

E-Magazine is a built-in feature of your Ulakom news site; no separate platform or app is needed. It’s managed on Websites → Manage → E-Magazine. All live issues are listed on your site’s e-magazine page.

Uploading a new issue

1. Click + New issue in the Magazine issues box.
2. Upload the PDF file; the cover is created from the first page and the text is extracted for search engines. Optionally Change cover.
3. Enter the Issue name, Issue label (e.g. 32) and Publish date. The Address is created automatically; you can change it.
4. Fill in the Description (“What’s in this issue?”) and SEO settings.
5. Turn on Live (when off it’s saved as a draft and not shown on the site). With Allow PDF download on, a download button appears in the reader’s toolbar.
6. Click Save.

Issue cards

Each issue card shows the cover, a “Live” label, page count and file size. Buttons under the card: Edit, Insights (reading data for Today / 7 days / 30 days / 90 days / This year), open on site and delete.

Reader experience

• Pages turn like a real magazine.
• Two-page spreads on wide screens, single pages on phones.
• Arrow keys, touch swipe, zoom and full screen are supported.
• Readers can share the issue on social media and by email.
