- **Categories and tags:** Your category structure and tags are preserved, so readers find things in the same place.
- **Images and media:** Photos and videos are moved to your media library and optimized.
- **Authors:** Author accounts and profile pages take their place on your new site.
- **URL redirects:** Old URLs are 301-redirected to new ones to preserve your search rankings.
- **Seamless switch:** Migration runs in the background while you keep publishing on your old site; the switch happens in one step.

## Migration in three steps

3. **Go live:** Point your domain and your site is live on Ulakom.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which platforms can you migrate from?

Migration is possible from common news platforms, WordPress in particular. If you use something else, write to us and we'll assess it together.

### Will my Google rankings drop?

Because old URLs are 301-redirected to new ones, ranking loss is minimized.

### Will my site go down during migration?

No. Migration runs in the background; your old site stays live until the switch.

### How long does migration take?

It depends on the size of your archive. We'll share an estimated timeline when planning the migration.
