# Home page sections: adding, ordering and settings

> Add sections such as headlines, category showcases, market data, video, authors and newspapers to your home page; reorder them and configure each one.

Your home page is made of numbered **sections** between the header and footer. In the design editor they’re listed under **Template — Home Page** in the left panel (e.g. 1. Headline, 2. Category strip, 3. Headline, 4. Market data, 5. 4-column category cards, 6. Video, 7. Category, 8. Authors, 9. Newspapers).

## Adding a section

1. Click **+ Add Section Here** where you want it in the preview, or **+ Add Section** at the bottom of the left list.
2. The **Add Section** panel opens on the right (40+ blocks). Search with the box at the top or filter with the tabs: **All, Content & Category, Headline / Hero, Directory & Classifieds** and more.
3. Click **+** next to the block you want. It’s added where you chose.

### Some section types

- **Headlines:** Headline 2 (18-item numbered cinematic), Headline 3 (15-item numbered left + 6-item right slider), Headline 4 (modular showcase with 3 layout options), and other layouts such as Headline 7–13.
- **Content & Category:** Group / Multi-column layout, Category showcase (customizable layout), Category strip (4 mini cards with badges), Category grid (3x2 equal cards), Most read ranking, Live timeline, Horizontal story feed & list, Subcategories.
- **Others:** Market data showcase (live finance), Video player & video list, Authors (round photo cards), Newspapers (front pages), Business showcase, Classifieds showcase, Official ads.

## Ordering and deleting sections

- In the left list, **drag** a row by its handle or use the **↑ / ↓** arrows.
- You can also move the selected section with the arrows on its toolbar in the preview.
- Delete with the bin on the row or **Remove this section** at the bottom of the right panel.
- The column icon on a row puts the section into a **group** (side-by-side multi-column layout).

## Section settings

When you select a section (the preview shows “Selected: 1. Headline 3 — …”) its settings open on the right. Most sections have:

- **Show title** and **Title:** The heading above the section (e.g. “Today’s Headlines”). When off, the title and “All” link are hidden.
- **Title style:** Lined, Bar, Underline, Capsule, Banner, Minimal; **Size** XS–XL and **Accent color**.
- **Block frame & background:** Card, Outlined or Flat; **Corner radius** 0–32 or Auto.
- **Categories:** Which categories’ stories appear in the section. Empty shows all categories; you can pick several.
- **Number of stories / Story limit:** How many stories the section shows (each layout shows a recommended number).
- **Category badge** and **Summary / Standfirst:** Category tag on images and a summary under titles.
- **Auto-advance time:** In milliseconds for slider sections (e.g. 4500 = 4.5 seconds).
- **Colors (Light / Dark):** Panel/list background, card title color, category badge background and text, title hover color; each with opacity. **Reset all** returns to defaults.

## Example: Market data showcase

- **Design & layout model:** Sliding showcase cards, Live finance ticker (scrolls right to left across the page), Compact grid or Minimal pill badges.
- **Market items to show:** Dollar, Euro, Gram gold, Silver, BIST 100, Sterling, Quarter gold, Ounce gold, Bitcoin; tick the ones you want.

> **Tip:** To put a scrolling market ticker at the very top of your home page, set the Market data showcase to **Live finance ticker** and drag it to the top of the left list.

## Saving the home page design as a file

**Export** at the bottom of the left list saves the page’s section layout to a file; use **Import** to reuse it on another site.
